Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer wanted to join the growing innovations team This is a remote working role with the occasional office meetings in either London or North West locations.

They need someone who has been a senior level engineer for 2 years supporting,monitoring and training team members.

The Team is part of the Digital projects driving owning and developing new and old projects

Senior Software Engineers lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex high-quality software to meet business and customer needs. Evaluating software designs to ensure adherence to standards and identifies corrective action. Ensuring that the software design balances functional, quality, security and systems management requirements

This a Microsoft house, so need to have strong C# and Angular skills.

Skills and Experience (Required)

• Strong expertise in one or more coding languages (eg C#, Angular.js)
• Extensive experience with development IDEs, such as Visual Studio.
• Experience using the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Deep understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.
• Ability to work both independently and on a team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in building APIs for both internal and external products.

Skills and Experience (Desired)

• Experience with relational databases (eg SQL Server).
• Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices including automated testing
• Experience supporting vendor software packages eg Sharedo, Visual Files
