Senior Software Developer JavaScript/React | Manchester | up to £65K

We've partnered with one of the most exciting tech-driven companies in Manchester (and beyond) to help them find a Senior Software Developer with strong JavaScript and React experience.

They've grown massively over the past few years and are now scaling up for the next phase of their journey and it's a a significant one.

What you'll be doing:

You'll work closely with the Head of Development and an external software consultancy as they transition to a fully in-house team, building out multiple squads. This is the perfect opportunity for a senior developer who's still hands-on but also keen to shape the future of a fast-scaling product.

Tech Stack:

• Frontend:JavaScript (ES6+), React, Next.js, Redux/Context API, TypeScript

• Backend:Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs/GraphQL

• DevOps: AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway), Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)

• Other Tools: GitHub, Jira, Agile, Jest, React Testing Library

• Nice to have: Experience with Headless CMS (eg, Contentful, Sanity), React Native

Projects include:

• Replacing Legacy Middleware

• Leading the localisation of their platform

• Building a headless React Front End

• Exploring a brand new mobile app project

What they're looking for:

• Strong experience with JavaScript, React, and modern Front End best practices

• Comfortable working in a senior, hands-on capacity

• Able to collaborate across squads and guide technical decisions

• A proactive mindset - you enjoy solving tough problems and running with ideas
