Senior ServiceNow Developer

Join our dynamic team as part of a transformative IT Hardware Asset Management (HAM) program aimed at improving tracking and life cycle management of IT hardware assets. This role involves architecting, designing, and implementing ServiceNow-based solutions to ensure IT asset compliance, integrity, security, and visibility across the enterprise.
Role is based in Glasgow, 2 days a week in office, and can be more flexible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Govern relationships between applications, Legacy systems, component libraries, content repositories, and supporting databases.
- Conduct functional design workshops, create design specifications leveraging out-of-the-box functionality, and align with customer requirements.
- Develop creative solutions to resolve business challenges, technology issues, and process inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to validate and deliver client presentations, workshops, proof-of-concept designs, and respond to technical and business inquiries.
- Provide hands-on technical delivery of ServiceNow solutions.
- Investigate system/program failures or performance issues, define resolutions, and implement detailed solutions.
- Stay current with product developments/releases for demonstrations and thought leadership.
- Mentor and coach team members while sharing best practices and knowledge.
- Support the development and growth of services within the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of proven experience in technical solution design and implementation of ServiceNow applications.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, CSM, SecOps, or HR products is a plus.
- Strong leadership and influencing abilities.
- Ability to create clear and concise technical and end-user documentation.
- Solid understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes, particularly with ServiceNow HAM and SAM Pro development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT and Enterprise Service Management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools is essential.
- ServiceNow certifications, including System Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist, are highly desirable.
- Expertise in multiple application architectures and supporting technologies.
- Proficiency in Scripting languages such as JavaScript and familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP), XML, and JSON.
