Job Description

Location: London (hybrid, 1-2 days in office per week)

Duration: 6 months

Key Essential Skills:

  • 10+ years of IT consulting with a strong mix of functional and technical roles.
  • Strong skills in API development, and proficiency with SQL.
  • Deep functional and configuration knowledge in SAP Fieldglass with a strong understanding of procurement, vendor management and contingent workforce management processes.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as APIs, data interfaces, and system integrations.
  • Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Fieldglass.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends.
  • Rich functional, technical and industry knowledge to diagnose complex issues and develop appropriate recommendations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve system issues.
  • Experience with both agile and traditional waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Highly desirable that candidate is familiar with WD/SAP/Oracle/Clarity/Identity and Access Management tools.
  • Can demonstrate experience across entire E2E build process for a technology solution.

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior SAP Fieldglass Engineer to join Thebes Group. This role will work closely with the Programme Manager to drive and support the delivery of our Vendor Management System (VMS).

Candidate must be an expert in SAP Fieldglass proprietary services procurement application, have experience creating and editing API s and be proficient in SQL. The role holder will collaborate with cross-functional teams to, design, configure and implement agreed business requirements. Whilst this role is initially a contractor position, focused on the delivery of Thebes Group's strategic VMS business requirements, it will provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to continue to work as part of the wider Thebes Group team beyond this initial deliverable.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Hands on approach to develop, configure and implement business processes in Fieldglass to fulfil agreed business requirements and own and drive delivery of the strategic VMS solution.
  • Capability to understand and translate business requirements, convert into effective solutions, interact with cross-functional teams as required, and deliver within time, cost and quality obligations.
  • Design and optimise end-to-end SAP Fieldglass integrations with other systems. Proactively identifying inter-system dependencies resolving up/down stream issues to enable platforms to function to meet operational requirements.
  • Design and implement Fieldglass integrations to ensure the data it supplies is consumable with other systems eg HR systems.
  • Configure, build, test and deploy the core Fieldglass solution to fulfil business requirements and ensure it works seamlessly.
  • Identify inter-system dependencies and proactively resolve integration challenges.
  • Working closely with delivery leads to realize and track development and integrations scope.
  • Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s), ensuring highly-performant, integrated software.
  • Ensure that Fieldglass solutions align with financial governance, access controls, and security policies, particularly in environments with sensitive commercial data and financial compliance requirements.
  • Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations.
  • Experience in Solution Design; Preparing specification documentation; Designing process workflow; Identifying and resolving Gaps; Providing functional inputs for specifications, business process, and Post implementation Support.
