Hays Construction are recruiting for an experienced and professional specialist SME contractor based in Merseyside. We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join this business. You'll be a strong and independent Quantity Surveyor, with experience working for either a subcontractor or main contractor. This role involves reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and working on a range of projects, from small works to larger commercial projects valued at £5-6 million

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
Conduct site visits on live sites
Prepare tender documents and contracts
Monitor project progress and ensure costs are kept within budget
Manage cost and financial controls
CVR's
Prepare and submit regular reports on project financials
Manage Valuations & Variations on site
Providing support, development and guidance to Junior Quantity Surveyors

Requirements:
BSc Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, with a proven track record in either subcontractor or main contractor roles
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in relevant software
