The role presents an exciting chance to join an organisation that prioritises accuracy, productivity, and collaboration. The working hours are 37.5 per week, offered on a flexible basis.
Your new role
As a Senior Purchase Ledger, your primary responsibilities will encompass controlling and setting up new approved suppliers, processing multi-currency invoices, and ensuring adherence to purchase credit and returns policies. You will be tasked with monitoring unfulfilled orders, liaising with internal purchasing representatives, and working closely with the 'Goods In' department to resolve any discrepancies. Additionally, you will conduct monthly reviews of supplier account information, chase invoices, and reconcile supplier statements. Your role will also involve managing payment runs via BACS, liaising with external stakeholders for international payments, and ensuring compliance with HMRC Duty charges.

To excel in this position, you must be a proactive individual with a robust work ethic. Prior experience in a high-volume purchase ledger role is crucial, along with an analytical approach to tasks. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain stringent controls and processes, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in all major IT applications, particularly Microsoft Excel (including vlookups and pivot tables), is required.
