Closing date: 22nd November 2024.

About Us:

Providing a vital out-of-hours service for residents across three boroughs including vulnerable adults, adults at risk and people with mental health difficulties in need of necessary support to promote their health, welfare and wellbeing.

As the host Borough, in Kensington & Chelsea, we're committed to providing high-quality support for residents, including those experiencing mental health emergencies and other types of crises. By sharing resources and expertise with Westminster City Council and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, we're able to offer reliable, accessible out-of-hours services through a tri-borough Emergency Duty Team (EDT).

The Role:

As a qualified AMHP and an experienced social worker with management experience (voluntary or statutory); you will be working closely with the Service Manager to support a stable complement of experienced staff to undertake their statutory duties across the Boroughs. You will support all aspects of management and supervision, providing a lead on new projects and able to use your initiative to enhance existing projects to engage staff. You will have desirable experience on using data information to identify trends, provide analysis for management performance reports and auditing of AMHP information. You will oversee the management of the EDT rota over the year by being proactive and liaising with staff for availability as and when needed. You will oversee the safety and wellbeing of staff to undertake their duties, lead on safeguard duties for vulnerable adults and identify risk for the protection of the wider public with the service manager. You will be expected to build on existing relationships with the ASC and MH teams, develop new relationships with stakeholders and attend relevant identified meetings.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

A key element of the role will be supervisory responsibilities for 4-5 staff and ensuring that responsible and proportionate measures are put in place for service delivery to vulnerable adults and their carers. Along with these line management responsibilities, you can expect to support the Service Manager in improving service delivery through auditing and supervision. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the EDT rota for a maximum of up to four shifts monthly.

You'll be ready for the challenge of a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you'll need to work autonomously and keep a calm head. A qualified and registered social worker, you'll bring a wealth of Mental Health and AMHP practice knowledge and skills. You'll be a warranted and approved AMHP and a qualified Best Interest Assessor with good knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance. Experience of systemic adult social work practice would be a bonus, as would prior supervisory experience. You will also have the partnership skills to work closely with the emergency services, hospitals and community organisations.

In return you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
