Job Role: Senior Outreach Worker
Salary: £27,000 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Exeter
Additional information:
- Valid driver's license and access to a car business purposes
- Participation in an Outreach rota which may include working early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Please note the working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required
The Role:
As a Senior Outreach Worker, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing the smooth operation of local projects, ensuring the team is well-supported and delivering person-centred support to clients. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of service, ensuring all contractual obligations are met through effective management, while maintaining a visible and active presence within local teams.
Please note, that this role will include working weekends and unsocial hours and being able to walk a number of miles in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities include:
- To undertake assertive outreach and hot spot visits across the locality area
- Provide supportive line management and supervision to team members ensuring regular reviews are in place
- Deliver positive outcomes for our clients including client involvement
- Carry out effective multi-agency working with external agencies to maximise opportunities for clients
- Maintain client records that they are accurate and fully updated using our client record system
- Since job descriptions cannot be exhaustive; the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Ability to effectively manage own, as well as direct reports, workload
