About the Role
As a Senior NetSuite Technical Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, customising, and maintaining NetSuite applications to meet business needs. This hands-on position requires both technical expertise and strategic thinking, as you'll work closely with stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure seamless technical delivery. You'll lead the development of custom integrations, data migrations, and NetSuite implementations to optimise business processes and performance.

Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior NetSuite Technical Developer, you will be responsible for:
Collaborating with Stakeholders: Engage with various business stakeholders to define project requirements and expectations throughout the life cycle.
Leading Technical Design: Architect scalable and efficient NetSuite solutions, documenting key aspects and ensuring that all technical deliverables align with business objectives.
Upholding Coding Standards: Establish and maintain coding standards, conducting code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and consistent codebase across projects.
Managing Technical Delivery: Oversee the delivery of technical solutions for custom development, data integrations, and migrations within the NetSuite ecosystem.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to technical expert, providing strategic guidance and in-depth knowledge for all technical aspects of NetSuite development.
Implementing Architecture Governance: Develop and implement governance frameworks that maintain a well-structured, scalable NetSuite environment.
Establishing Best Practices: Enforce best practices focusing on system performance, data management, and integration within NetSuite environments.
Leading Implementations & Upgrades: Take the lead on implementing new NetSuite instances and driving significant platform upgrades, ensuring seamless integrations and optimal functionality.
Recommending SaaS Solutions: Identify and integrate third-party SaaS solutions to extend the capabilities of NetSuite, focusing on system performance and enhancing the user experience.
Automating Data Transfers: Implement automated solutions for seamless data transfers, including alerting and monitoring systems for integration and migration processes.
Working in M&A Environments: Navigate the unique challenges presented by mergers and acquisitions (M&A), delivering flexible, scalable solutions for a growing business.

What You Will Have
We're looking for an experienced NetSuite Technical Developer with the following skills and experience:
Experience: 5-10 years hands-on experience with NetSuite, including at least 5 years as a Senior Developer delivering large-scale, enterprise-level projects.
Consultancy Background: Ideally, experience working within a consultancy environment, gaining exposure to diverse projects and challenges.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities, capable of fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
NetSuite Platform Expertise: Extensive knowledge of NetSuite features such as SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, SuiteBuilder, and SuiteAnalytics, with the ability to leverage these for development and customisation tasks.
Integration Skills: Experience in integrating external applications with NetSuite using RESTlets, Web Services, and third-party Middleware platforms (eg, Boomi, MuleSoft). Boomi expertise is essential.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript for SuiteScript development and strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML for Front End customisations and integrations.
Database Skills: Strong understanding of relational databases, including experience with SQL and familiarity with NetSuite's data model.
Customisation and Automation: Expertise in customising NetSuite to meet business needs, including custom records, fields, forms, and workflows, as well as automating business processes with SuiteFlow.
Performance Optimisation: Proven experience diagnosing and optimising NetSuite performance, ensuring efficient script execution and page loading times.
Version Control & Best Practices: Familiarity with version control systems like Git and an understanding of development best practices, including continuous integration and deployment.
Security Protocols: Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth, SAML, and SSO within the context of NetSuite.
Project Management: Experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies for managing development projects.
Jira: Familiarity with Jira for task and workflow management within software development projects is a plus.
M&A Experience: Prior experience in an M&A environment is highly desirable, helping navigate complex integration and scalability challenges.
