Job Description

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr Manager (m/f/d), Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) in our Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD). Lead a new team of Sales Specialists in Toxicology, Quality Control, and Clinical Chemistry. Drive sales strategies and achieve outstanding business results in Europe.

Expected Functions:

  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to meet and exceed sales targets for the Niche and A&A products in Europe.

  • Own the tactical implementation of business plans across teams and geographies.

  • Influence and collaborate with global and local leadership, including Product Management Leadership levels.

  • Continuously seek process and operational improvement opportunities, aligning strategies accordingly.

  • Coordinate contracts and quotations within company guidelines, ensuring pricing in line with market, to maintain and increase margins.

Major Responsibilities:

This role encompasses a variety of major responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with management to define short and long-term strategic plans for the portfolio.

  • Implementing geographical commercial strategies aligned with global and regional objectives.

  • Leading and motivating a technically proficient team composed of over 10 Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) in various European countries to achieve dedication and commitment.

  • Supervising sales processes, including forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using CRM systems in close coordination with regional sales teams.

  • Identifying and evaluating market growth opportunities in particular by entering potentially new vertical markets, and engaging in business development.

  • Ensuring financially sound operations with solid governance and compliance.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to formulate strategies for accelerated growth.

  • Staying updated on market intelligence and competitive landscape.

Nature and Scope:

  • Demonstrated capability in strategic and tactical business planning and execution.

  • Strong analytical skills and business insight.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse customer and internal audiences.

  • Ability to interface effectively with all customer types and internal teams to achieve desired results.

  • Confirmed team-building skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Ideal Experience

  • Over 3 years of experience in sales and sales management.

  • People Management experience is essential.

  • Familiarity with Quality Control, Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology products.

  • Experience with differentiated market approaches and both tender and direct business.

  • Knowledge of business practices in the In Vitro Diagnostics industry.

  • Experience in collaborating in a global matrix environment.

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Medicine or a related field is required; a Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
