Senior Hypervisor & Virtualization Engineer (ARM Architecture)
Rate: £500-£600 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote/Hybrid (UK-based preferred)
Contract: 6months +

We are seeking a Senior Hypervisor & Virtualization Engineer with strong expertise in ARM architecture to develop and optimize hypervisors and virtualization solutions for high-performance computing environments.

• Hypervisor Development: Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance hypervisors for ARM-based platforms.
• Virtualization Optimization: Implement and optimize virtualization technologies, including virtio, memory management, and I/O virtualization.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and enhance CPU utilization, caching, memory overhead, and I/O latency.
• Security & Stability: Implement robust security features and conduct rigorous testing & validation.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Solve complex technical issues, particularly in low-level RTOS and firmware interactions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with system engineers to integrate hypervisors into advanced architectures.

Strong C/C++ programming and system-level development.
Deep ARM architecture expertise (MMUs, cache coherency, memory management).
Experience with hypervisors (KVM, Xen, proprietary solutions).
Virtio, SR-IOV, and PCIe virtualization experience.
Embedded RTOS firmware development.
QEMU debugging and virtualized stack troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
