Role: FULL STACK ENGINEER (Java, REST APIs, Angular, AWS)

Location: Galway, Ireland

Position Type: 12-month contract with potential for extension

Work model: hybrid (3 weeks remote, 1 week in the office)

Note: We have more than 10 roles open for Galway. Java (Spring Boot) and REST APIs are always a must! The rest (Angular, Typescript, AWS) is preferable to have.

STAMP 4 VISA OR EU citizenship required!

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for our client, a leading financial services company based in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects!

Education (preferred)

• Bachelor's degree Computer Science (or related discipline)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 4/5+ years of industry experience.
• Proven Expertise with modern TypeScript-based UI frameworks such as Angular.
• Proven Expertise with Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• A strong quality mindset and understanding of unit testing.
• Proven Expertise with OO Design, coding standards, design patterns, and microservices (RESTful or GraphQL).
• Experienced with NFRs and supporting technologies, eg, Observability, Resiliency, etc.
• Experienced with AWS and containerization technologies such as Docker and EKS.
• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins Core.
• Familiarity with databases, data structures, and SQL.
