To strengthen and support our ongoing growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Export Control Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Legal and Compliance department, based in Vienna (or, in exceptional cases, another CEE country)!
Siemens Legal and Compliance advises the operating businesses and central units of the local company on all legal and compliance-related matters in the country. The team acts as a close partner to Siemens' business leaders and supports them in achieving business goals while developing and implementing relevant legal strategies. Legal Compliance Export Control ensures adherence to legal requirements for all export processes to foreign countries for Siemens Operating Companies.
You'll make a difference by:

• Ensuring compliance with global trade strategies and export regulations
• Resolving Export Control escalations and executing approvals for certain higher-risk transactions
• Supporting the Lead Country organization in Export Control matters, ensuring adherence to export control requirements and Siemens' Internal Control Program
• Cooperating with Siemens Export Control units and regulatory bodies
• Engaging with senior leaders on trade compliance strategies and providing guidance to business and central functions, as well as conducting training on export compliance
• Driving continuous improvements in Export Control processes

Your preferred qualities:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the export control field, either in-house at a global company or as a consultant/lawyer or in a similar role
• Extensive legal knowledge of European Union and US export control/embargo regulations. Knowledge of Siemens' Internal Control Program would be an advantage
• Understanding of sales and purchase processes to identify and address the application of import/export regulations. A technical background would be beneficial
• Fluency in English and German, with additional CEE languages being a plus
• Strong communication skills to negotiate, influence, make decisions, and implement changes within the business, central functions, and other stakeholders
• A decisive and confident approach

Our Offer:
The gross annual salary for this position is at least EUR 67.200 EUR, in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on education and experience, an overpayment is possible.
