Background:

The requires an experienced DevOps Engineer who can manage their own work and has experience working in a corporate environment. The successful candidate will be working on a project that has been running since the start of this financial year and is planned to continue into the next financial year. The project is within a federate IT structure - the Bank's core IT service provides tools that need to be implemented in Banking IT. The engineer will work in a team to implement observability and automation solutions around Openlink Findur and OpenShift platforms to meet the needs of stakeholders. The engineer needs to communicate directly with relevant infrastructure teams and organize their own tasks. The team is working on the security and resilience enhancements of the tools. The security part is mostly completed, and the focus now will be mainly on the resilience aspect. The project plan and roadmap are defined for the second year, though deliverables are not fully outlined. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who is able to look at this information and define what needs to be done. Currently, the project focuses on two big tools: GitHub Enterprise and ELK. Having experience in similar projects would be important, ideally with these tools and onboarding them, or experience with a similar tool in the market. We are looking for experienced candidates (late professional to senior level).

Perfect candidate:

A strong developer who became a DevOps Engineer through their career, able and willing to own their own work from start to finish while able to work with other teams across the Bank.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Onboard bank's systems onto modern observability and CI/CD solutions

Work within a team of engineers to deliver end to end solutions

Liaise with security and infrastructure teams on requirements and best practices

Document existing and new solutions

Must haves:

Proven experience in delivering projects in aDevOps space (*)

Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies (*):

o Azure Devops/GitHub Enterprise pipelines,

o PowerShell,

o Windows Server,

o ELK stack or similar observability technology

Strong understanding of best practice in security ie Secrets management, encryption, access rights management etc A passion for clean code, software craftsmanship and automated testing and the ability to impart this knowledge to others. (*)

Excellent presentation skills, as well as oral and written English (*)

A university-level degree in information management, computer science or related field or equivalent experience (*)

Interpersonal skills:

Ability to take the initiative and organize own work; flexibility; service orientation.

Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis approach

An open mind: someone who will enjoy the exposure to different experts and areas working in an international environment

Nice to have:

Good to have: Java/.Net 8 build tools, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, HashiCorp Vault, OpenShift/Kubernetes

Openlink Findur/FIS Front Arena or other treasury management system hands on experience
