Senior Development Officer

We are seeking a brilliant Senior Development Officer to join our development team as we grow our restricted and unrestricted income.

Buxton Opera House is a beautiful Edwardian theatre and one of the country's finest examples of a Frank Matcham theatre design. As a National Portfolio Organisation, with a thriving community programme and an electrifying programme of touring and home grown shows, it is a great time to join the team.

We are looking for a self-starter with either experience in membership, individual giving, a great sales and relationship management background, or an experienced trust and foundations fundraiser to join our team. JOB DESCRIPTION KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual Giving

• Lead on our 3 new memberships schemes, including,

- Creating prospect pipelines,

- Leading on campaigns and identifying opportunities to grow membership

- Creating and leading cultivation events throughout the year,

- Leading on higher level membership communications

- In collaboration with the marketing team create communications for lower-level membership.

- Create, implement and manage admin processes for recruiting and managing membership schemes

Trusts and Foundations

• Lead on small and medium trust and foundation applications. Work across the organisation to help identify opportunities for funding, create compelling cases for support, build relationships and write and submit successful funding bids

• Lead on grant reporting and monitoring including

- Managing all grants claims,

- Working with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting against grant requirements on funded projects

- Ensure all Trust and Foundations are effectively stewarded.
