Your new role
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for overseeing design projects from concept to installation. Your focus will be on optimising cost and cycle time for existing plant equipment. You'll collaborate closely with draughters, designers, and other stakeholders to produce accurate BOMs, layout drawings, and fabrication plans. Additionally, you'll liaise with clients and suppliers, ensuring design specifics align with aesthetic requirements and plant functionality.

What you'll need to succeed
As a Senior Design Engineer, you should hold a degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or an HND in Mechanical Engineering. With a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Design office, you've successfully managed projects with budgets exceeding £0.5 million, including at least one project over £1 million. Your track record demonstrates timely delivery of high-quality designs, and you're actively working towards CEng accreditation through institutions like IMechE. Additionally, your contributions to three major R&D projects showcase your ability to innovate and drive technological advancements.
