Senior Commercial Finance Analyst for Retail Business in East Lancashire

Your new role
As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in adding commercial value to the business. You will be responsible for improving commercial reporting, overseeing the development of one analyst, and acting as a Finance Business Partner for Operational and Senior Management Teams. Your duties will include producing frequent reports, organising and chairing meetings, contributing to the annual budgeting process, assisting in the year-end audit process, and undertaking various project work such as automation and systems improvement. You will also oversee and produce monthly Board Packs and Profit & Loss Accounts, review site performance, and provide clear guidance and recommendations to improve year-on-year and bottom-line performance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA professional, or working towards this, although those qualified by experience will also be considered. You should have experience in an accounting department or a similar role, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to communicate at all levels within the organisation. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are necessary, and experience with financial modelling, Macros/VBA/SQL, and SAP would be advantageous. You should also possess commercial awareness and business acumen, with the confidence to challenge and show resilience where required.
