About The Role:

A large and in-demand, design-led engineering company is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join their team in London. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting work-winning initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating closely with wider teams such as marketing and bids to enhance their business development efforts.

You will be responsible for both internal and external work-winning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a key point of contact for BD activities, within the culture department of the business by supporting the work winners / bids team in providing intelligence and insight into markets, key clients and sectors
  • Having input to the plan and implementation of an integrated BD & marketing plan, including conducting market and sector research into major opportunities for relevant strategies
  • Engagement in Key Relationship Management (KRM) activities such as the creation of plans for key clients, monitoring accounts and reporting on activity and engaging with BD counterparts
  • Engage with external stakeholders by attending networking events, conferences, events, B2Bs and other client entertainment activities

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a marketing or business development role within a design or professional services firm, ideally in the construction or engineering sectors
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all areas of the business
  • A confident, proactive attitude with the capability to take charge in challenging situations
  • Strong IT proficiency, including advanced data analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of UK markets
