Salary Range: Up to £90,000 - £100,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly skilled Backup Solutions Specialist with 8+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, migrating, operating, and supporting enterprise backup systems. This role requires expertise in Rubrik (essential), with knowledge of other tools such as NetBackup, TSM, and Avamar being an advantage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing hybrid backup systems across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure), and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and DORA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage SLA domains in Rubrik.
• Analyse and resolve daily backup failures to achieve near 100% success rates.
• Proactively manage storage capacity to ensure operational continuity.
• Lead teams in resolving complex issues and maintaining backup operations.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve escalations and deliver solutions.
• Drive automation and lead migrations from Legacy systems to Rubrik.
• Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, change, problem, and request management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Extensive experience with enterprise backup tools (Rubrik required; NetBackup, TSM, Avamar preferred).
• Strong understanding of hybrid backup systems and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience engaging Rubrik support and managing escalations.
• Knowledge of automation and Scripting to enhance backup operations.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead teams, work independently, and deliver results-focused solutions.
