Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Telford

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Telford. About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of special educational needs, supporting them in their learning and development. You will assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans, providing one-on-one support, and helping children engage with the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs. Your role will involve fostering a positive, inclusive environment that encourages all children to thrive and reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to children with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated activities to meet the needs of SEN children.
  • Support the emotional, social, and behavioral development of children, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's education.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the well-being of all children.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in SEN, childcare, or education (Level 2/3 or equivalent is desirable).
  • Experience: Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, in a school or similar setting.
  • Skills: Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Safeguarding: A current DBS check on the Update Service.
