Job Description

Mainstream SEN TA - Primary

Are you a passionate and dedicated individual with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support?

Have you worked as a Teaching Assistant on a one to one or group basis with children with needs?

We are seeking Mainstream Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to work at a range of schools in Harrow. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners with special educational needs.

Details of the Mainstream SEN TA role:

  • Positions available on a Full/ Part time basis
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably within a primary school setting
  • Situated in London Borough of Harrow
  • Rates of Pay: £90 - £105 per day
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

As a Mainstream SEN TA you will be required to:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to SEN students in the classroom
  • Passion for working with children with special educational needs
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Creating and adapting learning resources to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being among students
  • Collaborating with the SENCO and external specialists to develop effective strategies

As a Mainstream SEN TA within a Primary school in Harrow, you will be working closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum. Your role will involve assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, tailored to the specific needs of SEN students. You will be a crucial part of the educational team, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student.
