Salary: Scale 4, level 2 - Salary £26,469.00 - with the possible option of additional hours which will be paid at overtime rate

The Post:

Barham Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced School Caretaker with energy, stamina and a good work ethic to join our school.

We are looking for an experienced School Caretaker who is computer literate, a good communicator and a good team player and who is able to:

• Undertake the maintenance and security services of the school building and grounds
• Carry out minor improvement works, decorating and repairs of the premises
• Ensure that satisfactory levels of caretaking, cleanliness and hygiene are achieved and maintained through the whole of the school
• Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school
• Be trained and experienced or willing to be in health & safety, manual handling and security
• Demonstrate an understanding of child protection, confidentiality and data protection

The Person:

We are looking to recruit an experienced School Caretaker who has energy, stamina and a good work ethic.

The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, both written and verbal and computer literate. The must be able to work well on their own initiative as well as part of our School Site Team.
