Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted authority, guiding team members and managers on technical decisions.

• Provide mentorship to software engineers on coding practices, architecture, version control, and design principles.

• Foster a collaborative environment through pair programming, code reviews, and technical coaching.

Data Infrastructure Development:

• Design and enhance data models for Authorized Data Sources (ADS) to incorporate additional data requirements.

• Develop and maintain data reconciliation and quality assessment reports using advanced analytics platforms such as Hadoop.

• Build and integrate workflows and APIs to support new data feeds from internal systems and external market vendors.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Partner with product teams and stakeholders to identify new data requirements aligned with regulatory and operational goals.

• Translate end-user needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring quality, functionality, and speed.

• Manage project reporting, ensuring alignment with senior stakeholders' expectations.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and functionality.

• Lead the design and development of relational and graph data models, enabling robust data maintenance workflows.

• Enhance APIs to ensure seamless data sourcing for downstream applications.

Project Management and Support:

• Support testing across environments, ensuring changes meet quality standards.

• Manage the deployment of changes in production environments, adhering to change management protocols.

• Provide post-implementation Level 3 support for production-deployed changes.

Expected Deliverables:

• Enhanced data models to meet expanded operational and regulatory requirements.

• New workflows for client onboarding and data sourcing.

• Comprehensive data reconciliation and quality reporting mechanisms.

• Scalable and robust APIs for downstream data integration.

• Timely project status reports and milestone tracking for senior stakeholders.

Skills and Expertise:

• Scala Development: Proficient in building robust, scalable systems with a focus on data-intensive applications.

• Data Modeling: Strong expertise in relational and graph data models.

• Mentorship and Leadership: Proven track record of coaching and collaborating with software teams to drive technical excellence
