This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *business operations spanning almost every country and city worldwide*.

About the Role:
Our client is a global leader in E-commerce with business operations spanning almost every country and city worldwide. They aim to make it seamless for people everywhere to pay for travel or conduct business on their platform anytime and in any way that suits them.

Within their new FinTech business unit, which has teams in Amsterdam, Bangalore, London, and Shanghai, innovation drives the development of new products designed to reduce financial friction in the travel process. By doing so, they make buying and selling travel-related products and services simpler for travelers and partners alike.

The Financial Systems team, part of this business unit, provides technological expertise to the finance department, managing SAP, HANA, and integrated third-party systems. They are on a mission to transform financial workflows by simplifying business processes and delivering better financial insights through advanced SAP solutions.

The organization operates its SAP environment on HANA and started its journey to S4 HANA with Central Finance in 2019, continuing to innovate and evolve its financial systems infrastructure.

Role Overview:
As a Senior SAP Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot scalable SAP and non-SAP infrastructure solutions. You will play a key role in driving innovation within the Financial Systems team, ensuring operational efficiency, standardization across the enterprise, and robust technical solutions for a geographically distributed workforce.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Leverage your expertise to support and maintain specialized infrastructure solutions to enable ongoing growth.
• Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of solutions.
• Configure, monitor, tune, and resolve issues within the SAP technical environment.
• Plan, prepare, install, upgrade, and maintain complex SAP systems.
• Manage change control processes for systems subject to SOX compliance.
• Design and oversee interfaces between SAP and external systems, handling SAP database migrations and upgrades.
• Develop and troubleshoot full-stack infrastructure (hardware, storage, OS, system setup) supporting SAP and related non-SAP solutions.
• Collaborate closely with other teams and system users to define needs, identify problems, and provide tailored solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience in SAP Basis administration, including upgrades/migrations and SAP HANA management.
• Solid knowledge of the NetWeaver technology stack.
• Hands-on experience in SAP administration, from planning to delivery (eg, system copies, upgrades, migrations).
• Strong conceptual understanding of databases and practical experience with HANA or other DBMS.
• Proficiency in Linux, IP Networking, and related technologies.
• Development skills in Bash, Python, or ABAP are a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP storage solutions, web applications (FIORI), and Single Sign-On setups.
• Exceptional customer focus, team collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English is required.
