SAP Application Engineer (with focus on Finance) - German Speaking

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a SAP Application Engineer (with focus on Finance) - German Speaking. This role is permanent position based in Zürich Canton & comes with good home office allowance.

Your Role:

• Work on an ongoing S/4HANA project, support the implementation of new financial processes & subsequently ensure the support of the system.
• Support the transition from classic financial accounting & controlling processes to an integrated, end-to-end approach that ensures transparency & efficiency in financial reporting.
• Hold post-go-live responsibility for the operation, customization & further development of SAP Finance-based business & customer processes.
• Act as an interface between IT & the business department, advise finance & controlling departments on new solutions & ensure the smooth integration of finance with purchasing, logistics & sales.
• Develop solutions for efficient reporting in the record-to-report process, using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Embedded analytics for data-based decisions.
• Coordinate the use of external service providers.

Your Skills:

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in area of SAP Application Engineering.
• Experienced in one or more of the following areas: Central Finance, Accounting (AP/AR, general ledger), Group Consolidation, Group Reporting & Management Accounting (cost/profit center, project system).
• Ideally experienced with S/4HANA &/or Analytics Tools.
• Any experience in Data Modeling considered advantageous.

Your Profile:

• Completed University Degree in the area of Computer Science, Business Informatics or similar.
• Conceptual, Analytical, hard-working, a team-player & solution-oriented.
• Skilled in understanding complex issues & communicating them in a way that is appropriate for the target group.
• Fluent in English & very good German language skills (to at least B2 Level) are mandatory requirements.
