SAP APO, PP, PPDS Consultant (Automotive Industry)

We are seeking an experienced SAP APO PP Consultant for a long-term project. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in APO Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) or ePPDS tools and will play a pivotal role in designing, configuring, and implementing planning and scheduling solutions tailored to meet our client's needs.

As part of this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and system integration, leveraging your expertise in PPDS tools and processes. This is a remote role, with the expectation of onsite presence during critical phases such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Go-Live.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration and Testing:

Configure and test APO PPDS/ePPDS tools to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Develop and optimize PPDS heuristics for efficient planning and scheduling.

MRP and Process Expertise:

Set up and configure MRP processes, planning boards, DS boards, profiles, and subcontracting workflows.

Monitor and configure alerts for proactive issue identification and resolution.

Integration and Documentation:

Facilitate the integration of PPDS planned orders with MES tools and third-party systems. Document client requirements accurately and translate them into actionable solutions.

Production Processes:

Work on planned orders, material master data, BOM, routing, rate routing, work centers, and production versions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Act as a trusted advisor to the client, providing expert insights and recommendations.

Ensure clear communication and alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & experience:

5 years of hands-on experience with APO PPDS/ePPDS tools.

Minimum of 1 full-cycle implementation is mandatory.

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of PPDS configuration, solution design, and testing.

Proficiency in PPDS heuristics, planning boards, DS boards, and alert monitoring.

Understanding of MRP configurations and related processes.

Industry Knowledge:

Experience in the Automotive industry or similar manufacturing domains.

Familiarity with Model Mix Planning using RPM.

Integration Skills:

Hands-on experience with PPDS planned order integration with MES tools or third-party systems.

Work Setup:

Remote, with onsite requirements during critical project phases such as UAT and Go-Live.
