My SAP client is embarking on a digital transformation programme and replacing how the SAP development is structured and used, with a focus on reports and new SAP FIORI apps, following their recent conversion to S/4 Hana. The attraction for any SAP ABAP Professional here is there will be an inducted SAP bootcamp, centered around SAP FIORI that will be offered to the successful candidate, that will enhance their skills and understanding of SAP FIORI applications

Your new role
The SAP ABAP Developer will be involved in key activities, which will include supporting the SAP Team with the implementation of FIORI apps across the business and developing reports in an optimised manner to broaden the range of data available to business users.

What you'll need to succeed

• Design and implement SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, OData services, and Gateway technologies
• Develop and maintain SAP customizations using ABAP, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize SAP applications for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical specifications
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all development activities
• Ensure SAP solutions adhere to governance standards and integrate seamlessly with existing systems
• Support end-users during testing and post-implementation phases, providing training where needed
• Keep up to date with SAP technologies and propose innovative solutions to meet business needs

Technical key skills are: -

• Proficient in SAP ABAP, including Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV reporting, BAPI, BADI, and Enhancements
• Strong knowledge of OData service development and SAP Gateway configuration
• Familiarity with CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and SAP HANA
• Ability to debug and optimize SAP programs for improved performance
• Experience in designing and developing Fiori/UI5 applications - Desirable

-Experience in designing user-friendly interfaces with Fiori elements and SAPUI5 libraries
