SAP ABAP Consultant

Conexus are currently partnered with a prestigious consulting firm in the Netherlands, who are currently searching for a Dutch, SAP ABAP Consultant to join them on a permanent basis. Please note, this role is only open to those with a Dutch passport, due to security compliance requirements.

As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing custom SAP solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, enhance, and optimise business processes through SAP developments. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a secure environment, contributing to innovative, client-specific solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and test ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, interfaces, and forms based on client requirements.
• Work closely with functional teams to integrate ABAP developments with SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI/CO, and others.
• Analyse system performance and troubleshoot to optimise the performance of custom developments.
• Participate in full project life cycles, including blueprinting, development, testing, go-live, and support phases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, and provide training to end-users and client teams.
• Ensure compliance with development standards, security policies, and SAP best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Dutch citizenship and B2-level Dutch proficiency (minimum) required.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with hands-on experience in reports, interfaces, BAPI, BADI, and SmartForms.
• Experience integrating ABAP developments with core SAP modules (SD, MM, FI/CO).
• Ability to obtain or maintain security clearance based on role requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. SAP certifications are a plus.
