Job Description

Stanchester Academy is a secondary school located in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon. The school is part of the Bridgwater & Taunton College Trust.

Stanchester Academy have a fantastic opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join the team on a permanent basis (full time, term time plus inset days).

Please note, although we are ideally looking for a full-time colleague, we are open to discussing flexible working options.

Successful applicants will need to be prepared to work flexibly, demonstrate resilience, and have a good knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedure, as well as the ability to work under pressure and ensure a dedicated member of the safeguarding team was continually available to respond to safeguarding concerns or issues as they arise, as well as undertaking proactive work in promoting pupil wellbeing.

The Safeguarding Officer will manage caseloads for our vulnerable families and be able to communicate effectively at multi-agency level, with parents and learners of all ages.
