Ruminant Nutritionist- East Midlands

I'm looking for a Ruminant Nutritionist for a rare vacancy within a well-known, secure and successful family-owned business as a result of the incumbent moving to another role within the team.

This exciting role provides the chance to have true autonomy, where you will be a highly valued member of staff rather than just a number within a company. There are ample opportunities to have an input both in the growth of your role and the team as a whole.

As a mixed species feed mill, you will have the chance to get involved with a wide variety of products. Therefore, knowledge of other species would be advantageous but is not essential.

Your day-to-day may include:

• Technical product training both internally and externally.

• Formulation of feed products both for standard products and to customer specifications.

• Ensuring the top quality they are known for is maintained to the highest standards.

• Attending shows/ conferences.

• Advising and supporting farming clients both remotely and on farm.

About you:

• Due to the nature of this position, you will need prior ruminant nutrition experience in a similar role although, those with a background in formulations would also be considered.

• This company pride themselves on the excellent relationships and service provided to it's clients both over the phone and on farm therefore you will need to have strong interpersonal skills and an affinity with farmers.

• Practical livestock experience, ideally dairy would be highly advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team.

• Full UK Driving License.
