We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Analyst to support the organization in delivering rapid change across both Run the Bank (RTB) and Change the Bank (CTB) initiatives. This role is critical in strengthening operational risk frameworks, improving risk controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
As part of an evolving risk function, you will help design, implement, and monitor risk frameworks while working closely with various departments to assess and enhance risk management practices.
The successful consultant will have retail banking experience and have experience in conducting Risk and Control Self-Assessments to ensure effective risk management, designing and enhancing operational risk frameworks for robust oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and ensure effective risk management across business functions.
Design, implement, and enhance operational risk frameworks to strengthen risk oversight.
Identify, assess, and document risks across different business areas, ensuring comprehensive risk coverage.
Develop and define risk controls, including writing control documentation and guidance.
Perform testing and monitoring of risk controls, ensuring they remain effective and compliant.
Support enterprise risk creation, including documenting and improving risk processes.
Work with teams across the business to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Read and analyse risk papers, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Engage with stakeholders across the first line of defence to embed robust risk management practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in operational risk management, risk framework creation, and RCSA processes.
Retail banking experience
Strong background in 1st Line of Defense risk functions.
Experience in designing, testing, and monitoring risk controls.
Knowledge of conduct regulations and regulatory expectations (preferred).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex risk data.
Strong communication skills to work with stakeholders across the organization.
