The resource & project manager within the Shared Service Center is responsible for the planning of standard projects and SSC resources within SSC or regional owned projects.

Description

The resource & project manager within the SSC is responsible for the planning of standard projects and VSSC resources within SSC or regional owned projects. With this position in place all activities performed by SSC resources are scheduled and controlled by the resource & project manager, making sure that the capacity is fully dedicated to the primary objectives of the SSC service center as well as specific (project) requests from the operation. The resource & project manager works closely with regional/local project owners and IT departments for the contribution of SSC resources to local or regional projects. The resource & project manager standardizes as much of the projects and processes and reports about resource planning and -availability.

Responsibilities:

  • The role of resource and project manager primarily focuses on the resource management element and relates to standardized, light project management activities and responsibilities that might develop in importance going forward.

The resource & project manager:

  • Fully facilitates and manages project /onboarding / implementation / service / support requests from the operation, through a one stop, single channel with the operation. This will initially be a manual (mail) process, but during 2025 this process will be migrated to anITSM (Topdesk) controlledworkflow.
    • In those cases the above relates to a project driven approach, this role is responsible for completing these projects on time, to budget and with the desired outcome.
  • Documents all existing and new standard project / onboarding / implementation/ service processes; monitor compliancy and eventual process improvements to optimally service the business requests
  • Implements the necessary project controls and -structures to facilitate resolving project issues and / or risks
  • Develops service levels, based on standard, best effort deliverable objectives for all (standard) services
  • Holds a CIO delegated ownership of IM and ITO resource pool in order to service all business requests
  • Liaises with counterparts in the operation as well as externally (partners, specialists) to align, manage and meet defined objectives.
  • Ensures minimal support requirements to be in place at any time during EU prime business hours.
  • Reports on general support performance and indicators
  • Provides reports/insight on resource availability / use / requirements with relation to all project / onboarding / implementation / service / support core activities of the SSC IT team.
  • Works together with team managers ITO and IM as well as with (project / IT) managers from regional resource teams.
