This role is part of our newly developed senior leadership structure an exciting opportunity for someone ready to lead from the front while shaping the future of care in one of Aberdeen's most respected homes.About Rubislaw Park:Nestled in Aberdeen's prestigious West End, Rubislaw Park is an award-winning, luxury care home providing residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care to up to 86 residents. You'll be joining a supportive, progressive team where excellent care and teamwork are part of everyday life.About the Role:As Residential Unit Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of our residential unit, ensuring that every resident receives truly person-centred care in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. You'll spend half your time on the floor across two shifts, staying close to your team and residents, and the other half supernumerary overseeing care plans, guiding colleagues, and working alongside the senior leadership team to help shape the direction of the service.You'll lead your team with confidence, compassion, and clarity ensuring each team member understands their role, feels valued, and is empowered to deliver exceptional care. Whether it's supporting a resident to maintain their independence, managing a family concern with empathy, or mentoring a colleague through a tricky shift, you'll be the calm, capable presence that holds it all together.What you'll bring:Experience working in a residential or care home environment, with a strong understanding of high-quality elderly care

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, coach, and develop a team
  • A commitment to dignity, independence, and person-centred care
  • Confidence with care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, and day-to-day compliance
  • Warm, respectful communication skills that put residents and families at ease
  • The ability to juggle priorities, think on your feet, and inspire others to do their best
