Hours: Alternating weekly early and late shifts.
Early shift (45 hours) Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 7am-5pm, Wednesday - Friday 7am-4pm.
Late shift (32 hours) Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-10:30pm
Your new school
Gretton School is an independent specialist school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, specifically high functioning autism. We welcome students from 5-19 years old, as weekly boarders or as day students. Based just outside Cambridge, we work with 12 counties to provide a broad and individualised education for these unique and wonderful students. The school is growing and developing it's integrated therapeutic team are working tirelessly alongside the management team and the teaching and support staff to further develop our fantastic practise and outcomes. Your new role
We are looking for exceptional people to work with our exceptional students. We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to work in a friendly and supportive boarding environment where your input will be key in achieving positive outcomes for our young people. Our warm and homely boarding houses allow young people to stay at Gretton from Monday to Friday during term time. Our focus is on making sure each young person feels safe and cared for. A maximum of three young people live together in a house or bungalow within the school grounds.
Working Hours:
- Early shift (45 hours) Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 7am-5pm, Wednesday - Friday 7am-4pm.
- Late shift (32 hours) Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-10:30pm
- Sleep in duty as required in line with Rota. Cover waking nights if required.
- Term time only
Note: Staff currently work 1 week of early shift followed by 1 week of late shift and so on. There is no requirement to work weekends or school holidays.
