Your new company
I am currently working exclusively with an engineering company located in Preston. They are currently recruiting a Receptionist / Administrator, reporting to the Office Manager, to join the team. The company has an engaging and supportive team culture and is a well-established company. They pride themselves on their professional approach and commitment to providing excellent service to their clients. This is a new role due to expansion within the team.
Your new role

  • As a Receptionist / Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Office Manager and the team.
  • Being a first point of contact for business, meeting and greeting visitors.
  • Booking and arranging appointments and distributing emails where necessary.
  • Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, photocopying and scanning documents, typing minutes of meetings and reports.
  • Inputting timesheets, compiling case studies, greeting visitors, managing diaries, booking rooms and travel arrangements, preparing mail, and carrying out weekly inventory checks.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining the kitchen area and performing other ad-hoc duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent telephone skills, good telephone manner, and the ability to deal with client and supplier queries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, along with copy and audio typing skills.
  • Please note, previous experience of Administration or Receptionist is required.
  • You should be able to prioritise work, communicate effectively with other staff members, and ideally have a full clean driving licence.

  • Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-16:00pm.
