A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a Dispensing Optician to take on the role as Practice Manager in the Essex area, close to Southend to join a high-end, well-established, family-run, group of independent opticians.

They have a number of practices all over the Essex/ East of England area, all with an outstanding reputation for designer products, modern high-end looking practices and an outstanding first-class patient focussed service that is guaranteed in each and every one of their practices.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

Your role will be to help lead a small but experienced team from the front.

You will be on the shop floor making sales and coaching your team and ensuring customer service standards are maintained.

You will occasionally be involved in all optical duties such as dispensing but primarily be offering advice, managing staff, troubleshooting, rota management, KPI's, P&L, and dealing with all of the day to day duties.

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

You will be a GOC registered Dispensing Optician

This role is full time, working 5-days, including 3 in 4 Saturdays.

You will have a confident and up-beat personality with ambition to progress in your career.

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

For your efforts a competitive package is on offer;

" A competitive salary of £35,000+ (depending on experience)

" 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays (Bank Holidays are closed)

" Sociable hours with no Sundays or late nights

" Free parking either at the practice or nearby

" In house CET training

" You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.

" Hours would be 9am till 5:30pm (5pm finish on Saturdays) - 40 hours to include Saturdays, no Sundays or Bank holidays
