Working on behalf of a fantastic charity committed to funding, supporting, researching and innovating on behalf of disabled people, so they can make the journeys they choose, I am thrilled to be searching for their new Public Affairs Manager. In a time of moving political landscapes, your role will be critical in promoting and enhancing awareness of the Charity Foundation among key political stakeholders. I d love to hear from an established Public Affairs Manager with a strong grasp of parliamentary processes in the UK and charity sector knowledge.
You will join at an exciting time as the team have just hired a new Public Affairs agency, you will manage this relationship and help embed them. You will brief the CEO for key meetings, get to know stakeholders, and work closely with their partner operations team. You will have experience of operating effectively in a complex environment with multiple agendas and stakeholders, utilising your strong communication skills, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly and share information in an accessible way across a variety of audiences. Public Affairs is also a hot topic within the organisation so the opportunity to make a difference is very tangible!
With a new mission-led government elected on a platform of change and with potential welfare reform on the horizon, this role is especially important at this time, therefore experience in crafting and implementing post-election public affairs strategies is highly desirable.
- Blended working week- 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
- Based 30 mins from Liverpool street, or 20 minutes from Tottenham Hale, in Harlow, Essex.
