Job Description
What's involved with this role: Property Surveyor Reference no: ATR The role will work across Wiltshire & Hampshire.Key Requirements:
- Relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, planning in a similar technical field.
- Experience of surveying and contract management in the social housing sector.
- Good understanding of building fabric/components
- Technical knowledge.
- Problem solving/solution/remedy of building defects
- Specification writing.
- Contract management (KPI's / monthly meetings, processing valuations etc).
- H&S knowledge/experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
- Managing budgets relevant to their consulting contract, ensuring that they are appropriate, and expenditure kept within budget and delivered in accordance with the Financial Regulations, Standing Orders and audit requirements taking appropriate action when variances occur.
- Produce regular reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and will be responsible for all contract management from inception through to completion.
- Oversee and manage planned programmes covering energy efficiency works across all regions.
- Ensuring that the management of major works contracts meet all required standards of performance, including audit, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
- Assist with the preparation of reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and if necessary, ensuring that contracts are determined in line with the authority delegated under Standing Orders.
- Ensuring complaints and disrepair claims are dealt with in a quick and effective manner and follow the organisation policies and procedures.
