For our One Mobile Core (OMC) Program we are looking for a full time Migration Project Manager. The OMC program will replace the current packet switched core network with a modern cloud based version and will add 5G SA network capabilities. This will bring higher speed, lower latency, better quality and enhanced security to our KPN customers.

The focus of the migration project manager will be to manage the migration of around 400 Corporate APNs in the KPN's mobile core network from the current mobile core towards the new One Mobile Core environment within the program. The migration project manager will work closely with the OMC program manager, management and business stakeholders, and other team members involved in the migration program.

What the Project Manager will do:

Approach and plan: Aligns with the (business) stakeholders and determines the approach, taking into account multiple and different interests. Makes a project plan and the planning for the results to be achieved, time required, and resources. Discusses the plan with the leads, team members and external suppliers to ensure commitment/ availability of the resources needed.

Project management: Manages the realization of the migration results with the plan as a guideline. Coordinates content, manages the business segments Business Market, IoT and Wholesale and integrates with the organization and working methods within the OMC Program. Manages the end to end readiness of the Corporate (private) APN services and handover to the business segments and operations.

Project quality: Monitors the quality of the work done. Comes up with measures to ensure quality and progress for all parties involved.

Project information and progress reporting: Reports on progress and in such a way that it is transparent and usable for all stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced project manager who can achieve results with a team of highly skilled, self-driven individuals. The ideal candidate of course has the below-mentioned knowledge and experience of the work field, but should most of all be able to guide cross-functional teams to reach the required results within a challenging environment.

Knowledge and skills:

Domain knowledge of Mobile Core technologies.

Experience as Project Manager for mobile & core services, features, and mobile networks.

Strong business focus and ability to align the business ambitions and requirements and the program timelines and deliverables.

Able to cope with stress and capable of managing multiple teams in a rapidly changing environment without losing the overview and goals of the project

Knowledge of Project Management, able to cover the full project lifecycle from initial scoping and design to eventual testing and handover to the business.

Project management experience in an Agile way of working environment

Strong communication skills. Well-able to represent the program with all internal and external stakeholders.

Location:

The Program is run from the KPN office in Zoetermeer.

Working from a different location/ home location is possible. Days office/ remote to be agreed upon however seeing the urgency of the project and the tight timelines the migration project manager should be able to work on a daily 'war room' scenario.
