Quantity Surveyor (Belfast based)

Hays are excited to be in partnership with a highly established, rapidly expanding specialist contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor. With over 20 years' experience they have built up an excellent reputation for providing professional interior fit-out solutions to a client base across UK and Ireland. With a proven track record of delivering high quality services across both Private and Public sector, they have established themselves as a specialist company of choice for leading main contractors in the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth our client is in search for a Quantity surveyor to join their commercial team.

Your new role
Within your new role you will manage projects worth up to £1m in value, providing specialist services including Suspended Ceilings, Partitions, Raised Access Flooring, Lightweight Steel Framing Systems and Altro Whiterock Wall Cladding. Main responsibilities will include cost planning and reconciliation, tendering and negotiation as well as writing monthly reports and producing final accounts. You will report to the main director of the company working closely with the Operational Team to ensure projects are completed on programme and within budget.

What You Will Need to Succeed
You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor preferably stemming from a subcontractors background. A proven track record of delivering build projects will be necessary. Additionally flexibility in regards to fortnightly UK travel is essential, spending on average one night a fortnight in the UK. You will have excellent contractual knowledge, partnered with strong negotiation and communication skills.
