The role
As the Project Planning Coordinator at Damen Naval you will be responsible for the planning, progress review and follow-up related to the new F126 Frigates we are building for the German Navy. You will ensure the shipbuilding planning is up-to-date by integrating the latest information from subcontractors. You will also closely monitor the build progress to timely identify bottlenecks and planning-issues and coordinate mitigating actions.

Key accountabilities
As the Project Planning Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the overall shipbuilding project planning, progress review, and follow-up for this large-scale marine shipbuilding project.
• Integrate (updated) subcontractor information into the shipbuilding planning process and review progress on board.
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively address potential planning issues.
• Creation and integration of STW, HAT, SAT schedules for combat systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues across locations in Hamburg, Kiel, Wolgast and The Netherlands.

Skills & experience
To excel as Project Planning Coordinator, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Bachelor degree in a technical field combined with a minimum of five years of experience in planning large and complex projects, preferably gained in shipbuilding or similar industries.
• Proficiency in planning applications such as MS Project or Primavera, or willingness to learn.
• Preferably based in northern Germany.
• Fluent in German Language (both written and verbal).
• Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
