Project Manager - Citrix & VDI

We are looking for a Project Manager for a 12 Month contract based in Derby (Hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Candidate must hold or be eligible to receive SC Clearance if necessary to be considered for this position.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Project Manager you will be delivering, controlling and monitoring Enterprise Virtualisation projects & programs that will provide IT functional capability to the client.

These projects & programs will provide engineering capabilities via Windows/Linux end points to design & build complex components that feed the clients supply chain.

This position will lead, and direct multiple resources engaged in the design, implementation, and delivery of IT projects (IT Infrastructure/Security related) that span across functional organisations. In this role you will help support Group IT & Ecosystem Partners to prepare project execution plans and identify appropriate technical and business resources needed for the project team.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

• Managing multiple large and small-scale complexity projects.
• Managing an IT PMO process with continuous improvement mindset.
• Driving projects based on defined priorities; ensuring scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identifying risks and issues and mitigating and/or escalating as needed.
• Planning, designing, managing and executing project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.
• Leveraging problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation.
• Submitting RFQ's/RFP's - Review SOW's, approve invoices, raise Purchase Orders as required in readiness for delivery milestones.
• Demonstrating outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes

What we require from the candidate:

• Experience with CITRIX, VDI Cloud and VMware with successful delivery of Virtualised computing and experience within heavy engineering applications needed for PLM activity.
• Experience with running large investment grade IT deliverables.
• Experience in delivery projects that exceed or have a budget of up to £1m.
• 5 - 10 years' experience in managing projects as a Project Manager.
• Project Management/Agile/Waterfall Certification(s), or experience of the following PM methodologies (PMP, Prince2, Agile, Waterfall)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with using governance PM Tooling (Project Management software) and SharePoint.
• Experience with Enterprise IT Infrastructure, Data centres, Data Classification Controls, IT Networks, IT Security standards & policies.
• Expertise in creating Powerpoint presentations and expert with Microsoft Excel.
• Expertise in financial project governance - forecasting, actual's, accrual's & incurred.
