What's in your kitbag
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • PMP or IPMA certification preferred, along with additional training in people management
  • Advanced analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a deep understanding of program management techniques
  • Strong cost awareness, proven leadership abilities, and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Over 8 years of professional experience in project management roles, particularly within the international defense sector
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex multinational programs with budgets exceeding €150 million
  • Experience in shipbuilding or aviation preferred, with a background in governmental programs and emerging organizations being advantageous
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and common software applications (ERP systems)
  • A collaborative and participative leadership style, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Demonstrated flexibility, resilience under pressure, and a willingness to travel frequently
  • Frequent travel to Croatia and Egypt is required
Your position in our crew

As Project Lead for the PV43-M Program at NVL BV, you will oversee the project's overall performance across all involved entities. This pivotal role requires governing the main contractor NVL Egypt and the subcontractor NVL doo from Croatia to ensure the successful execution of the entire program. You will thrive in international environments, engage with diverse cultures, and lead teams across various levels. Frequent travel to Croatia, Egypt, and major supplier locations is a core aspect of this role. Your duties will encompass advanced project management tasks including procurement, supply chain management, export/import operations, major supplier oversight, and shipbuilding at an Egyptian shipyard.

  • In your Role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the PV43-M project is completed on time, within the budget, and to the highest quality standards by coordinating efforts with NVL Egypt and NVL doo.
  • Your primary duty is to maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues that arise and aligning efforts to meet the project's goals.
  • The role requires you to monitor the progress of the project, manage the budget and schedule, and develop regular progress reports to NVL BV with support of the teams, while identifying risks and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • As part of your responsibilities, you will provide strategic steer and support to NVL Egypt and NVL doo during the on-site execution of the project, addressing operational challenges and ensuring alignment with the project's objectives.
  • You will need to facilitate open and effective communication within the NVL Group as well as with subcontractors, ensuring that there are regular updates and managing the relationships effectively.
  • A key aspect of this role involves seeking opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and expedite the delivery of the project.
  • You will define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the project's performance and ensure that all objectives are being met.
  • Collaboration with the Director Programs of the NVL Group is essential to align project activities with strategic goals and contribute to the overall success of the program.
