Project Engineer- High Voltage- FACTS

I am working with an Irish company, a leading utilities company. They are looking to hire a Project Engineer with good experience in FACTS. It is a 12 months daily rate contract.
The FACTS Specialist Lead will join the Primary Assets Team in Transmission and Distribution Engineering (TDE), focusing on high-voltage (HV) primary asset equipment, including Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). They will provide technical support for HV projects, particularly involving FACTS technologies such as STATCOMS, Series Compensation, and Dynamic Power Flow Controllers. The role involves specification development, tender evaluation, project delivery, and stakeholder collaboration.
What You'll Do:
Develop and update FACTS technical specifications and tender documents.
Conduct risk assessments and review tender submissions.
Negotiate tender terms to ensure value for money.
Represent the client during Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
Inspect and manage the installation of FACTS equipment.
Lead fault investigations and coordinate solutions.
Provide ongoing technical support and expertise to stakeholders.
Make critical design recommendations and verify team outputs.
Stay updated on FACTS technology developments.
Mentor team members on FACTS technologies
Must-Haves:
Minimum 8 years in HV Power or HV T&D, with at least 4 years in FACTS.
Strong knowledge and technical acumen in FACTS technologies.
Experience with the life cycle, safety, and quality of FACTS equipment.
Proven project delivery skills in substation/FACTS engineering.
Understanding of tender processes and EPC projects.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Full driver's license.
Level 8 engineering qualification or equivalent work experience.
