Are you a creative person who loves connecting people and places by telling their stories? Our Programming and Partnerships Officer plays an important role in helping everyone to feel welcome by planning and delivering visitor driving and audience-led programming.

What it's like to work here
Ham House and Garden is situated on the banks of the River Thames. This 17th century country home has a varied visitor experience, including outdoor events, workshops, outdoor theatre, guided tours, exhibitions to engage our audiences with our collection and family-friendly activities through the seasons.
Reporting to the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager, you'll be working alongside the Communications & Marketing Officer, Welcome Manager, and Volunteering & Community Officer.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be devising and running an audience-led programme of events and activities with partnerships at their heart.
- As well as planning and organising a programme of events, activities, and exhibitions to run, you'll be linking everything to Ham and build on its core narrative.
- You'll address existing and new audiences spanning from the Surrey countryside to urban London.
- You'll be responsible for some budgets and will be managing volunteers.
- You'll be working closely with the Operations & Experience Manager in the planning stage as well as with colleagues from all other departments during delivery.
- Leading for effective and efficient communication of our audience-led programme across site, you'll host regular planning meetings with the whole property team.
- You'll be focussed on activities that are being run by partner organisations and you'll lead on embedding local partnerships with community groups into our visitor driving offer by liaising with Ham's Volunteering & Community Officer.
