What you'll do
You will provide administrative support for the delivery of postgraduate programmes in collaboration with University College London, contributing to a high-quality student experience and supporting various activities within the Postgraduate Studies team. Programme teams consist of between 5-15 members and you will work closely with Programme Directors, Module Leads, teaching staff, students and the wider Postgraduate Studies department.
What you'll bring
You will have strong administrative experience in higher education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team and delivering a high-quality student experience.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in programme or course administration within a higher or further education setting, or a teaching and learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidentially and diplomatically with staff and students.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to handle large volumes of information accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work proactively, manage workloads independently, and meet deadlines under pressure while also collaborating effectively with senior colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and willingness to quickly learn new technologies, including university-specific databases and online platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Key details
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.
Salary: £31,366 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.
Location: Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).
Contract type: Fixed-term, 14 months (maternity cover) - to start as soon as possible.
