For our Faculty of Business / Software Engineering programs in Potsdam, we are looking for: Professor of Software Engineering You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of new trends and applications in the field of Software Engineering as well as in teaching students from various cultures. Key Activities & Responsibilities: Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems, and Parallel Computing, Planning and implementation of research and development projects including publication activities in the field of Software Engineering Advising and supervising students Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Potsdam location Administrative activities and committee work Advising prospective students Requirements for professorship: Completed university studies Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university Your profile: Experience in teaching the basics of Cloud Computing, Software Development, Parallel Programming and/or Distributed Systems Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage Work experience in the areas of the field of Software Development and Software Project Management, Cloud Management or Similar Ability to teach courses in English language Ability to teach courses in German language is an advantage Publication and research activity desired Strong ability to communicate and work in a team Organizational skills and eagerness to work together to advance the success and growth of the University What we offer: Opportunity to work with a great team in a dynamic and international environment Days of vacation according to the working days/week Various online language courses and opportunities to participate in online collaboration courses Numerous campus events from the fields of art, culture, business and science Opportunity to develop and implement new ideas and concept Interested?
