Job description
Yacht Engineering has a vacancy of Product Quality & Reliability Engineer at our client - FEI Electron Optics B.V. (in Eindhoven, the Netherlands).
As a Product Quality & Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products throughout their lifecycle. Acting as the central link within project teams, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess risks, define test strategies, and drive improvements in product performance. Your strong focus on quality and risk management will be crucial in system integration and module development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for both module and system levels to identify potential risks.
- Oversee the Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) process, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Define, implement, and maintain test processes, acting as the test coordinator for project teams.
- Develop comprehensive test coverage based on requirements from design teams, business units, operations, and service organizations.
- Facilitate discussions to establish well-defined test methods for each test case.
- Organize and lead review meetings to evaluate and document test results.
- Conduct reliability analysis for new product developments, using field data and FMEA insights to predict warranty costs.
- Support reliability testing, including Test-to-Fail and Test-to-Pass methodologies.
- Assist design teams in root cause analyses using statistical engineering techniques.
Job requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within product quality, reliability, or system integration.
• Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Safety Risk Assessment (SRA).
• Familiarity with reliability analysis, test methodologies, and validation processes.
• Experience in a high-tech or manufacturing environment is a plus.
