Product Application Specialist (m/f/d)For Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH in Mannheim/ Germany we are looking for an experienced Product Application Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Research & Development team.
Key Responsibilities:- Initiation and management of product development projects according to the company's project management process
- Documentation and presentation of work results
- Monitoring of the IP environment and technical publications in the field, collaboration with the patent department and contribution to the company's IP portfolio
- Survey of the polypropylene and other polymer markets worldwide and representation of Novolen at conferences and fairs
- Provision of technical support and services to our customers worldwide in the field of product development and application
- Interaction with the technology licensing business in bidding and proposal processes
- Collaboration with other departments in the organization (i.e. laboratory, Technology Management, Catalyst R&D and Catalyst sales)
- Master's degree in Chemistry or Engineering or comparable qualification with strong background in Polymer Science / Polymer processing, preferable in the field of Polypropylene and/or Superabsorbent Polymers
- Advanced knowledge in polymer materials and / or polymer processing demonstrated by at least 3 years professional experience in the industry or doctoral degree is required
- Ability to lead projects and train other professionals
- Skills in using standard software and new communication media
- Fluent business English skills, further language skills, especially German, are advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to prepare appealing presentations and technical articles
- Strong customer focus, understanding of the needs of clients
- Structured, self-motivated and solution-oriented work style, willingness to take over responsibility
- Interpersonal and multicultural skills, ability to work in teams
