Principal Mechanical Engineer - AI Data Center Power Electronics (f/m/div)

In your job job you will:
- Design mechanical systems & power modules, ensuring optimal performance, thermal management, and reliability for AI data centers
- Develop and validate mechanical concepts considering materials, manufacturing, and assembly
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams for seamless integration of Infineon's solutions
- Work with suppliers to enhance design and manufacturability
- Perform mechanical simulations to predict behavior and refine designs
- Drive fast-prototype fabrication and test for performance and durability
- Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness with manufacturing teams
- Document design processes, test results and technical specifications with cross-functional teams
You want to work with new technologies and are eager to contribute to sustainable solutions that address global challenges in energy efficiency and AI-driven computing. You further define yourself through clear communication skills, ensuring collaboration within your new team and thrive in a diverse and inclusive workplace that values different perspectives and experiences.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, especially in power electronics
- Skilled in power electronics assembly processes like soldering, dispensing, encapsulation, and surface mounting
- Familiarity with industry suppliers and landscape is a plus
- Proficient in CAD software and simulation tool
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, fluent in English; German is a plus
